Step 1: Divide Players into Pods
- There will be X number of pods, each containing 3-4 players depending how many sign-up
- The players will be randomly assigned to each pod.
- Pod 1: Player A1, Player A2, Player A3
- Pod 2: Player B1, Player B2, Player B3
- Pod 3: Player C1, Player C2, Player C3
- Each player in the pod plays against each other player (2 matches per pod).
- Since there are 3 players in each pod, the matchups will be:
- Match 1: Player 1 vs Player 2
- Match 2: Player 2 vs Player 3
- Match 3: Player 1 vs Player 3
- Scoring:
- Winning a Hole: The player that takes the fewest strokes (Net) to complete the hole wins that hole and earns 1 point.
- Tying a Hole: If both players take the same number of strokes (Net) on a hole, the hole is "halved" and each player earns 1/2 point.
- Losing a Hole: The player that takes more strokes (Net) on a hole does not earn any points for that hole.
- Total Points: After all the holes are played, the player with the most total points wins the match
- Tied Score: If both players end up with the same number of points, the match is tied. And will be counted as a tie in the overall W/L/T (example 1-0-1 or 0-1-1)
Determine the Pod Winners
- After all round-robin matches are completed in the X Number pods, the player with the best W/L record in each pod advances to the single-elimination tournament.
- Tie-breaking: If two or more players have the W/L record, the tiebreaker will be decided by adding the matches total points and the player with a greater amount will be deemed the winner.
- There will be X number winners, one from each pod, who will compete in a single-elimination bracket.
- The structure of the elimination bracket will be:

- Finals:
- In the event the match is tied after 18 holes the winner will be declared based on the player who won the hardest handicap hole through the easiest handicap hole.
- Brackets will be set by Handicap Index for example
- Lowest H.I. v Highest H.I.
- 2nd lowest H.I. v 2nd Highest H.I
- And so on…...
- The final two players from the semifinal will play for the championship title.
- In the event the match is tied after 18 holes the winner will be declared based on the player who won the hardest handicap hole through the easiest handicap hole.
Match Play Point Rules for the round robin tournament
- Handicap stroke will be assigned based on the difference between the two player’s handicaps. Example: Player A carries a 10 handicap and Player B carries a 14 handicap. Player B will get one stroke on handicap holes 1 through 4.
- The round robin portion of the tournament will begin May 1, 2025 and no later than July 20, 2025 all matches must be played within this time frame. Any matches that have not been completed by July 20 will be forfeited and be scored as a tie.
- The single elimination portion of the tournament will begin July 25, 2025 and end no later than October 3, 2025.
